| Concrete surfaces are cleaned with high-pressure water spray with a handgun.
The high-pressure cleaning of corroded concretes is applied in particular when repairing bridges,
viaducts and other concrete building structures. The conventional method of removing a concrete layer
from the overhauled surface is done by drilling with pneumatic drills or vapour blasting. |
hydrodynamic cleaning of surface |
Chief drawbacks of the method:
- both, corroded and sound concrete is removed while drilling,
- vibrations generated when the drill is working cause harmful micro-cracks within the overhauled facility.
The layer concrete surface removal technology using hydrodynamic cleaning with adequate equipment
permits not only to remove the corroded concrete structures without causing any shocks nor vibrations on the
facility's structure.
| Cement wash can be easily removed from the concrete surface, a specific top concrete layer
thickness can be removed up to reinforcement or insulation, or the entire insulation or its leftovers in
concrete surface pores can be removed. As a result of spraying, loose fragments of concrete are loosened
from the substrate, plasterwork layer and paint coating breaks off, and salts are washed off (important
when repairing structures and road structures) |
cleaning of concrete |
Applications:
- cleans concrete surfaces free of contaminants, cement wash, etc.
- concrete layer (corroded, broken) is removed,
- topmost concrete layer is removed, together with insulation,
- facade is cleaned (plasterwork, concretes, etc.)
Benefits:
- Does not cause dusting
- Does not cause sparking
- Does not generate hazardous wastes (such as sand in vapour blasting)
